Journey back to my crib

Went to the Shanghai International bookstore to get some books, its situated pretty closer to People's Square.

The bookstore is huge, 7 floors full of books, books nothing but books.

Pretty amazing to see so many locals just sitting everywhere and reading.

I was very amused when purchasing my books, they don't pack it in a plastic bag but wrap it with a sheet of brown paper. I was told that this was to prevent stealing. After purchasing the books, you can always get a plastic bag given out by the local guards once you are out of the building.

On the way back to my crib, I had to go through Raffles City which is a big shopping mall in order for me to get to the subway. I hate the People's Square subway station as I have to walk a mile long just to get to line 2 which goes to my stop, Jing An Temple. Nevertheless, I was pretty impressed with the new reconstructed station - high tech and massive.

Finally got to Line 2, as usual swipe my card through the gate and got on the train.
