Belated Zong Zi Celebration

Last weekend my HK groupies decided to have a zongzi celebration.

We celebrated with porridge and zongzi made by my dear Jan and her mom. Funnily enough their zongzi is not triangular in shape but horizontal.

They made two selection of zongzi - salty and sweet.

The sweet zongzi is similar to the nyonya zongzi we get in Malaysia. Theirs are red in color while ours are like plain yellow or blue???

HKies also dip their zongzi with soya sauce, honey or sugar. Weird combo....

The porridge that Jan made was soooo good ...very sweet as she boiled it with scallops.

Phobs later spoiled us with patisseries from Paul's.
