More details from Tongue & Chic:
Fresh from her appearances as the leading model of Audi Fashion Festival 2009, Singapore’s top model Charmaine Harn is now exchanging fashion shoots and catwalks for hosting duties on a new online reality model search programme, SUPERMODELME.tv.
Starting on 16th June, airing twice weekly online, SUPERMODELME.tv sees 10 model wannabes competing for the grand prize of SGD$10,000 and for the chance to be a prominent fashion fixture on runways and fashions mags for years to come.
One model will be eliminated each week until there is one left standing. This diverse group of contestants, ranging from the ages of 17 and 23, come from countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Sweden, Australia, Britain and America.
Though they are no Tyra & Co, the resident judges on the show aren't a cast of relative unknowns. They are renowned fashion and celeb photographers Geoff Ang and Olivier Henry, Her World’s fashion and beauty director Jeanette Ejlersen (she "discovered" actress Zoe Tay) and NuYou magazine’s editor-in-chief Grace Lee.
One exciting feature while watching this programme online is the use of Hyperspot technology, which allows you to receive real-time information on what the model is wearing from top to toe. Yes, even the brands, prices and where to buy the outfits! And with the video conferencing and virtual chat rooms available you actually get an opportunity to tell your least favourite model to shove it… or let's just say "encouraging words of advice".
