New Year Eve 08 was spent in Sydney

Dinner was at my best friend's friends place which was really close to Circular Quay. We did not go to Harbour Bridge cause there were ppl camping from the break of dawn just to have a look at the fireworks at midnight. Not for me, I was busy sightseeing and catching up with my bestie.

We toasted before the New Year Eve countdown and walked down to Circular Quay for the fireworks.

What a night and a great way to remember my NYE 08 celebration

The Three Sisters

The Three Sisters are situated next to The Blue Mountain. According to their website -

The Legend

The Aboriginal dream-time legend has it that three sisters, 'Meehni', 'Wimlah' and Gunnedoo' lived in the Jamison Valley as members of the Katoomba tribe.

These beautiful young ladies had fallen in love with three brothers from the Nepean tribe, yet tribal law forbade them to marry.

The brothers were not happy to accept this law and so decided to use force to capture the three sisters causing a major tribal battle.

As the lives of the three sisters were seriously in danger, a witchdoctor from the Katoomba tribe took it upon himself to turn the three sisters into stone to protect them from any harm. While he had intended to reverse the spell when the battle was over, the witchdoctor himself was killed. As only he could reverse the spell to return the ladies to their former beauty, the sisters remain in their magnificent rock formation as a reminder of this battle for generations to come

Blue Mountain

Jenolan Caves

Anytime you ever head to the Blue Mountains be sure to go to Jenolan Caves as well.

Jenolan Caves are without question, Australia's most impressive limestone caves. The caves were discovered in 1838 by a convict bushranger. There are nine show caves open to the public with spectacular lighting, underground rivers and cave formations that will amaze you.

Basically we paid for a package where you get a guided tour on one cave and a FREE self tour of another cave. Jenolan Cave is divided to a few caves. Pls check their website for the timetable of the guided tours.

Basically it took us a 2-3 hours to finish one cave so by the end of the guided tour cave we were too tired to continue on the FREE self guided tour. Look how happy we were when we reached the exit.

Market when you are in Sydney, they have the freshest seafood in the city.

There are many stores located inside where you can get fresh seafood cooked or uncooked.

This store prepares their dishes with an Asian taste to it.

These fresh crabs and lobsters looks almost fake to me.

I ordered a seafood platter + fresh oysters + fresh salmon sushi
And ate it all up.....ok I had help.
You can also eat outside the fish market but be careful of the seagulls.
