Binalong Bay

The internationally recognised Bay of Fires is situated between Eddystone Point and Binalong Bay and is one of Tasmania's most popular tourist destinations. With its stunning blue water, red rocks, white beaches and fishing lagoons, the Bay of Fires has something for everybody. The entrance to the Bay of Fires - Binalong Bay (10 minutes from St. Helens) - is one of Tasmania's most beautiful beaches and provides some great views and walks along the coastline. What a great way to greet us at Binalong Bay

Look at how clear it is. The water here is so clear reminds me of Maldives.

There are a few beaches to choose from but we decided upon Jeanneret for its quaint and quiet surroundings.

The beach may be beautiful but the water is very cold and is filled with sharks. A few days before we were there, there was a young girl who got pulled into the waters by a great white.

That ain't gonna stop me though.

The sand squeaks when you walk.

My opinion on Tasmania - I LOVED IT!

It ain't boring at all. I had a blast for a week and so did my partner.

We would definitely be heading back to Tasmania in the near future. I would pay more attention around the east coast area. How can u say no to sea, fresh seafood and nature.

Lavender Farm

We were on the way to the east coast of Tasmania when we spotted the signboard printed with "the biggest Lavender Farm in Australia and one of the biggest in the world". I do not always get to see a lavender farm so we decided to pay this farm a visit.

Bridestowe Lavender Farm was the name of the farm.

Bridestowe Estate Lavender Farm in Nabowla, north-east Tasmania is one of the world’s largest lavender farms. Established in 1921, it produces the finest quality lavender flowers and lavender oil.

The farm consists of 48 hectares (120 acres) of rolling lavender fields and is considered one of Tasmania's most spectacular sights during flowering in December and January. The five-week harvest begins in early January with the distillation and processing of the lavender in full swing.

Visit the farm shop where you will find a large range of lavender products including the very finest of lavender oil and locally made arts and crafts. A tasting area allows you to experience the unique use of Bridestowe lavender as a subtle flavouring in superb quality foods. Sit and enjoy a coffee in the Bridestowe café or picnic under the century-old oak trees and stroll through the fields. (Source)

It was amazing, the view and the scent of the Lavender.

After the visit, we had to drive along a winding road to get to our destination.

One thing I realized about Tasmania, you will see more dead animals every five minutes on the road then humans or cars.

The Spirit of Tasmania

I was enjoying the view and the breeze

Saw some penguins resting on the rocks

From afar I saw this red and white ship and realised it is the Spirit of Tasmania. The ship which sails nightly from Melb to Tasmania. You can either take a flight or sail on a ship to Tasmania.

The ship is huge!

I would think it would be a great experience to stay a night in a ship but sadly because I get sea sick pretty easily I decided I am better off flying.
