Tje Fuk

I have heard about this face wash from another blogger. I am a sucker for beauty products so I decided to try it out. The green face wash is basically for customers who have acne or pimple problem. Those who doesn't can try the yellow one which is kinda like a face scrub. The packaging is pretty big so is worth the money. I paid like 63000 rupiah for it.

After using it - I find it pretty ok, my skin feels much more smoother, maybe cause it is a scrub. It also doesn't dry up your skin.

The only thing I am not too happy about it is it stings your eyes if some of the cream accidentally touches it.

My verdict - Not bad if you are looking for a good face scrub but if you have sensitive skin then maybe you should give it a pass.

Their website for your perusal.

Javanese Massage

You will be a fool to leave Java without trying their massage. The place that I went to is called Griya Shiatsu. It looks dodgy from the outside but surprisingly is very good. Javanese massage is a little different from the other massages as they use their feet to massage you. It might hurt at the beginning but you feel good after. Adding to that, they only use their feet for like 20 min and the rest is with their hands. I had a 2 hours body and feet massage and was I rejuvenated.

I was also recommended to this other place called women and women's spa. This is closer to the airport.

The interior - not bad clean.

See what I mean by kinda dodgy looking. I was expecting Indonesian furnishing but is so all over the place. Looks can be deceiving.

Try it out. Address is on the the 1st pic.

Food - Yogyakarta

You can never leave a place without trying their local delicacies and food. My run down on the food that you must try in Yogyakarta.

Alpukat - a blend of avocado + condensed milk and choc sauce.

Waroeng Steak - Indonesian copied Western steak dishes. Cheap and surprising very good. Try the ribs. Yum Yum

Crave for some choc - try Chocolate Monggo bar which is made from quality dark chocolate beans from Indonesia.

Lunch or dinner - you must must try Bebek Goreng. Deep fried duck served with sambal, veg and rice. It is sooo GOOD!

Drink - Es Jeruk. Basically its orange juice but very sweet and refreshing.

Last but not least - Bakso. Noodles with beef balls.

For dessert, Bakpia Pathuk - green bean paste savoury. Taste like Penang's tao sa pia but better.
Last but not least do not forget to buy the Amanda's Brownies. Its basically a speciality in Indonesia.

Enjoy!!!!

Candi Plaosan Lor

Around Candi Prambanam there are 2 more temples which you can visit. You will need to take a drive to see it. Walking to it is too hot to even think about. We went to both, one (I do not remember the name) and the 2nd on is Candi Plaosan Lor which is more magnificient compared to the other one.

Candi Prambanam

Prambanan
is the ninth century Hindu temple compound in Central Java, Indonesia, dedicated to Trimurti, the expression of God as the Creator (Brahma), the Sustainer (Vishnu) and the Destroyer (Shiva). The temple compound located approximately 18 km east of Yogyakarta city on the boundary between Yogyakarta and Central Java province.[1]

The temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, currently is the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia, and is one of the largest Hindu temples in south-east Asia. It is characterised by its tall and pointed architecture, typical of Hindu temple architecture, and by the towering 47m high central building inside a large complex of individual temples. (Wikipedia)

Its amazingly beautiful constructed Hindu Temple, it makes me think how man could actually think of building something like that.

Word of advise - bring umbrella, comfortable shoes and sunblock with you.
